I built this site with AI assistance, and I use AI tools extensively in my thinking. Many of the ideas explored here were developed in conversation with Claude and similar tools, which I find genuinely useful for testing arguments, surfacing connections, and pressure-checking my reasoning.
The essays, however, are mine. Every word. I don't outsource the writing because the writing is where the thinking actually happens, where vague intuitions get forced into honest sentences and where I find out whether I really believe what I thought I believed. An essay published under my name reflects a mind I've put through the wringer, not a prompt I've delegated.
The instruments are a different matter. Those are my ideas, but the technical documentation describing them was developed cooperatively with AI. Specs, configurations, and reference material are vehicles for conveying information that exists independently of me. Clarity and accuracy are what matter there, not voice, so I'm happy to let AI help shape the prose.
